A Letter from the President's Desk
Dear WHS PTO families,
Much has changed in our world since the last issue of The WORD. I will keep my message brief today, since I am sure you feel as inundated with information and news related to the COVID-19 pandemic as I do.
In light of the local and federal requests for social distancing, it is only prudent that our PTO respond in a socially responsible way regarding its upcoming activities and meetings. Until further notice, all Weston PTO meetings will be held via conference call or Zoom. Newsletter communication will be limited to pertinent or time sensitive matters. Staff appreciation and any fundraising events including the Memorial Day Road Race will be postponed until we know better what is happening in the district.
The Weston PTOs will, however, continue the nominating process for the WHS PTO Boards for the 2020-21 school year. This process is being conducted by Casey Saussy, Committee Chair, Shawn Amato, Candace Kuzma, Debbie Morvillo and Angela Zielinski. Please help them by filling out the Nominating form available HERE. You can nominate yourself or a friend. Please note that the recent ByLaws amendment limit the term of an executive position to one year and those on the General Board to two years, so if you have met that term, try out a new position! Finally, I would like to applaud the tremendous efforts of our school administrators and teachers who have been working hard to get the online learning platform up and running. These are uncharted waters for all us and it is important that we support each other. I would ask that you consider taking the time to send a teacher or administrator a note of thanks and encouragement in the coming weeks.
