Dear WHS Parents,
There’s tons of news and links in this week’s newsletter. One of the positives of our new way of conducting meetings is the ability to record and make all of our board members hard work as well as our informative speakers available for you to listen to at your convenience if you can’t make the meetings.
I am so proud of all of our board that we have been able to continue to support WHS students and staff with college board prep courses, staff & student appreciation initiatives, BOE engagement, philanthropy projects, individual class events, and of course the back room work of bylaws adherence, fiscal responsibility and accuracy in minutes for votes and discussions.
We are also thrilled to be able to bring back WHS’s main fundraiser, the WHS5K and Kids Fun Run this year! Links and details are below. Lots of great opportunities to bring friends and family together virtually to run a 5K ANYWHERE!!
Our nominating committee is meeting to put together our WHS board for next year. I strongly encourage you to go to the website and read the by laws section which describes the board positions. There is something there that will fit in with your available time commitment! The more diverse our board is and the more people we have involved, the better we can represent all of our WHS families and continue to provide programs and events that bring us together as a community. Nominating Committee chair Anne Troxell, troxellanne@optonline.net is also available to speak with you and happy to answer any questions.
