Dear Weston High School Parents,
I have a few things to share as we wrap up this calendar year.
The SGA has a fun Spirit Week planned which started Friday and goes into this coming week. Each day has a theme: Weston Day, Business Formal, Summer Hawaiian, Winter/Ski and PJ Day. The kids are looking forward to a well deserved and well needed break.
When we return, the school budget process really gets underway. Superintendent Wolak will be presenting the initial budget proposal to the Board of Ed on 1/6/22. I encourage everyone to listen in (live or recording) to understand the key factors in this year's budget and implications to our schools. There are a number of workshops between the administration and the BOE in January to refine and adjust the budget before it is approved by the BOE and sent to the Board of Selectmen. Lisa will be presenting to our General Board at our February meeting and will answer questions you may have at that time.
Whether you are spending time at home, traveling to see family or taking a vacation, the Winter Break is the perfect time to recharge. I know I am looking forward to spending time with my family and doing a number of fun activities.
