PTO & SCHOOL NEWS

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

The WIS PTO has some exciting news to share!!

During the WIS PTO General membership meeting held on January 19th, the General Membership voted to approve funding for author and speaker Brian Williams. Mr. Williams is going to join the students in person at WIS on March 14th, pending all things Covid-19 are in alignment, to share his program Inspiring Measurable Acts of Kindness in Schools Around the World. The PTO is working with Mrs. Falber and Mrs. Rinas to make this day a huge success for our students.

Who is Brian Williams and why should our students and families be excited?

Mr. Williams is on a mission to inspire Kindness movements in schools across the nation. His message is one that calls students to action and creates measurable change in each school he visits. He is energetic, funny and gets students to think outside-the-box on how they can create a ripple of positivity within their school.

  • Spoken to over 250,000 students
  • Documented over 500,000 acts of kindness
  • 4th degree black belt
  • Inspires kindness movements across the world

Mr. Williams has authored the book “Kindness Ninja”. The PTO has purchased a handful of books for the WIS Library as well as each grade. The book is available on amazon - free if you are a kindle unlimited member, or for a paper copy $9.99. The PTO does NOT share in any profits from the purchase of any books. This is just for your information in case you would like to take a look at his book.  He created this video, to share with families prior to his visiting schools. It shares information regarding his kindness program and resources that he has available to share to get the whole Familiy involved.

I hope you are excited as I am for this program!

Have a great weekend!
