PTO & SCHOOL NEWS

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

SO many great things are happening at WIS!

The playground toys, purchased by the PTO, are out during recess! One of my 4th graders had a great time playing with friends with a giant 3’ tall connect 4. My 5th grader played with the kickballs with friends. My other 4th grader is ready for spring and warmer days to play frisbee with friends on the field.

2.22.2022 was Bus Driver appreciation day!!! Our students who ride the busses, walk to school, or are in the carpool line all benefit from the services that our transportation team provides. The WIS PTO showed our appreciation of our bus drivers and traffic team on school road with a goodie bag of snacks and treats. School would never start on time without these amazing people.

Brian Williams, the Kindness Ninja, is so excited to join our students at WIS on March 15th. Speakers like Mr. Williams, are provided by the WIS PTO Philanthropy budget. The WIS PTO membership works hard all year to raise money to provide services to our students, faculty and staff. So keep buying items from the spirit store!!! Attend our events - when we can, and get ready for an exciting Memorial Day Fair weekend so the WIS PTO can continue to add to the experiences our students have at WIS.

There might be snow in the forecast as I prepare this letter, and I’m already thinking ahead to spring. The first day of Spring is March 20th!! Spring is a great time of renewal, refresh, open the windows and let the fresh air in. Now is the time to start thinking about planting a garden, plant some flowers in your yard, plan a weekend away to see the great outdoors. However you celebrate spring this year, make beautiful memories with your families.

Best Regards

Debbie Carrothere

Thank you so much for your gift bags delivered to us for all the drivers.   We are all overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation for your kindness and for all the kindness shared with us this week from the Weston Community.  Please thank all of the WIS PTO members and let them know how much this means to us here at First Student.  I have attached some pictures.  Also, I want to thank the WIS Administrators who took the time to  greet my drivers yesterday.   Have a great day!!
