Dear Weston High School Parents,

Believe it or not, we are only 4 weeks away from the end of the school year.  Now is a good time to check in with your student and see how things are going.  There is plenty of time to end the year strong!

Memorial Day Weekend is only days away.  Remember, our biggest fundraiser, the Weston 5k, is Saturday May 28th.  Details are below to run, walk, or volunteer.  It is a great community event - so come out regardless. And the Fair and parade are back!

As I have said before, times are busy at Weston High School right now.  Please take a look at the calendar above to see all that is happening. And for those with seniors check the Class of 2022 section below.

Get your Race On!! 

The Weston Memorial Day 5k is back!! Join us as Weston comes together for this annual community celebration! The 28th Annual Weston 5k is set to run Saturday, May 28th after a 3 year hiatus.  We are all so excited to be back at this fabulous event - in person! Memorial Day Weekend is the highlight of the year in Weston - our fair, a parade, and of course the road race - that brings our community together.

HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE?

There are so many ways for you to participate in this wonderful community event!

- Run or Walk in the 5K!

- Have your kids run in the Kids Run and/or come play in the FunZone with our GIANT inflatable obstacle course!

- Volunteer on Race Day! So many easy and fun opportunities to make a difference!

- Be a spectator!  Just come and enjoy watching the runners, walkers, kids, and volunteers enjoying a great community event.

ADAP's Evergreen Dance - the SPRING EDITION, is coming up on Saturday, June 4th!  Tradition held that Freshmen often invited Sophomores to be their date for this fun evening.  Now's your chance!  Don't be shy - be bold and ask! Evergreen also encourages everyone to go whether as a date, alone, or in a group.  All Freshmen and Sophomores are welcome however you choose to go.  It will be a night to dress up, dance, and have a good time!  

It's been three years since the last Evergreen - let's work to bring it back better and stronger than ever.  Honor tradition and celebrate the future!  Parents encourage your kids!  Students encourage your friends!

Superintendent Wolak has started a Podcast series this year interviewing various members of the WPS staff!  They are good! She also distributes monthly WPS Newsletters which have included an opening from her followed by a summary from each of the school Principals.  You can find both of them here!!!!

-PGE tickets are on sale! PGE will be held on June 21st.  Graduation has also been set for June 21st, rain or shine.

-Balloons for graduates are on sale!

-We are busily planning for the PGE and looking to make it a fun night for all the students.  As you can imagine, the costs we are incurring have been climbing and we are trying our best to keep costs under control.  We continue to look to the Weston community for their support.  If you have/know of a local business or individual that would like to become a sponsor for the Class of 2022 here is the link:  Donating is easy. -The Senior Class Student Reps are putting together a slide show for the Senior Banquet.  Please send photos of your student from their years in Weston Schools (PreK-12).  Best photos would be groups of students.  Email all photos to:  whsseniorslideshow2022@gmail.com 

- PGE tickets are on sale now.  5/16- 5/20 will be EARLY BIRD pricing.  5/21 - 5/31 will be REGULAR pricing.  NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AFTER 5/31.
